MP3 Converter is a streamlined program that allows you to convert files between several different formats and at varying levels of quality. This makes it possible for you to play your files on different types of devices with different programs.

Clean interface: This app presents a streamlined interface, with clear options for adding files, selecting output format and quality, and then beginning the conversion process. Files to be converted are listed in the middle of the window, so you can see what you've completed already, at a glance.

No conversion status: Once you click convert, you have no way of knowing the status of the conversion. While most of these are completed quickly, it would be nice if there was some way to see where in the process each file was.

Not many options: Compared to other file conversion programs, this one offers relatively few options for file output types. The only ones available are WAV, OGG, M4A, WMA, and AAC.

Failed conversions: Some of the conversions we attempted failed without any explanation from the app. The files just weren't converted and didn't save.

MP3 Converter can be useful if you need to convert files between MP3 format and one of the others supported in the app. It's also free, so there's not much harm in trying it out for a bit to see if it will work for you. But there are other programs out there that offer nicer features and more conversion options. So it may be worth looking into some others, as well, especially if you do a lot of conversions and want to be able to monitor their progress.
