I could just about copy Big Dave's review word for word with the exception of not being a chaplain and its my husband who is a veteran but its me who is disabled. We both have our Social Security and pensions automatically deposited. All in all however, I totally agree with what Dave had to say. Some of the apps (including some bank apps) are just horrendous. In fact the bank that holds my mortgage is TERRIBLE - not just their app either but their customer service in general. I call it Customer Non-serviceClearly you have a great web designer and RARELY is your site ever down for maintenance - actually I can't recall a time. Keep up the great work and service to the public. Some banks don't seem to understand that if people like us didn't deposit money, they wouldn't have jobs and since we, the customers are loaning them money for varying lengths of time, we would like to expect something in return. Chase GIVES their customers something in return - and NOT just with a good app but in every way. Thank you.
Chase Mobile up is one of the best in the industry. However, there are few annoying items that frustrates a Customer like me. For example it takes an inordinate amount of time between when an item shows up on the account until it is actually posted. I do not understand this delay. For example if I pay a Chase Credit Card from a Chase Checking account then the money is immediately subtracted from my checking account but it shows as pending but it will not show on the Credit Card as paid or pending. Then it takes a couple of days and may be more before the payment is posted. But the strange thing is that the payment disappears for one day from the Mobile App and then the day after shows up as payment. I was under impression that with advancement in digital banking everything will be super fast but I am realizing that the process is as slow as going to the Branch and doing everything on paper.
There are some excellent banking apps and some terrible ones out there. BofA is one excellent one, Bank of the West is one of the worst I’ve used. Chase falls in the middle... mostly because the don’t support the same functionality on the iPad as the iPhone. At home, I like to have the larger screen & view that my iPad provides. However, logging into the iPad requires entering the password as Touch ID is not available. According to their mobile & online banking support staff it (among other features) is not available on iPads. They couldn’t tell me why not, just that it’s not supported! I’ve used the app for years now and although I’ve requested this feature be added, I have been ignored. I don’t understand their reasoning as all other bank apps I use have this feature - even terrible Bank of the West (with which you have to orient you iPas in portrait mode prior to launch or you won’t be able to see your balances nor all your accounts) has Touch ID login.
