The Walmart app for iOS enables Walmart shoppers to search, browse, and purchase a variety of products. Those who use the big box store's pharmacy can also easily refill prescriptions through the app.

Many ways to shop: Search the built-in browser, shop by department, scan an item, or tap "Reorder" on the bottom rail to repurchase the items you buy most often. You can discover whether the items are available in store and, if so, on which aisle. You can also create an order for pickup at the store. Just check in from your phone.

Savings Catcher: Tap Savings Catcher, scan your receipt (seven days old or less) with your phone's camera or type in the receipt's TC number and the app will compare item prices with those at competing stores, and if a lower price is found, you'll get the difference back via gift card.

Weekly ads: Check out the weekly ads directly on your phone. Just select your location, pop open the circular, and flip through it like a magazine.

Walmart Pay: Easily pay for items with Walmart Pay, a mobile wallet that can store your credit, debit, and Walmart gift cards in the app for quicker purchase at the store.

Pharmacy services: Easily refill and track prescriptions from the app.

Express Money Services: Send or receive money easily by entering the sender and receiver's location, name, and phone number and set up a PIN. At the store, you can use the app at Express Money Services or Customer Service (if there is no Express Money Services at your nearest store) to scan the QR code and an associate will help you complete your transaction.

Free shipping: Spend a minimum of $35 and place your order before 2 p.m. to get your item in two business days -- for free.

No landscape mode: Sometimes you need the extra screen real estate when shopping, so you turn your phone to landscape mode. Unfortunately the Walmart app doesn't offer this functionality.
