Auto launch....it's just your phone connecting to the car. Hit the home button, go back to what you were doing. It's that simple. No whining necessary. You could always look at your Uconnect app before you even get in your car and write down the mileage since it tells you that and all....Not having a login....seriously? Lol go to the website and make one. It takes like two minutes tops.Extremely useful and perfectly functional app with all the info I need right on my phone. I personally think it's nicely designed, easy to use, and a nice feature for my lovely Jeep. Love being able to start my car to cool it down without having to be anywhere near it.

I’ve been using this app for about two weeks with my new Dodge Ram. I think the app works very well. There is a lag from the time you request a command to be sent to the vehicle but this is normal when you consider that you aren’t using radio waves like in your hand held transmitter to send the signal. You are using an app to send a message to a cell tower to uconnect access which relays back to a cell tower then to your vehicle. Takes about a minute but such great technology. As for battery drain in my phone. I use an iPhone 7 which is about 2 months old. I see no difference in battery depletion. I would make One minor change for improvement which would be to have the app available to be linked on the Apple Watch.
