I read webtoons daily and have always found it to be a great place for new creators to display their work however, recently the new policy has put me off. Many of the authors who I have enjoyed reading for a long time cannot display their artwork and stories in the manner that they once were able to under the old policy. I think that there should be another way to regulate NSFW content in webtoon stories without having the webtoon be taken down entirely. By taking down webtoons that have some NSFW content in it, it makes webtoons less of a free platform. I think that instead of getting rid of all these new creators with some NSFW content there should be a way that regulate what age groups are allowed to see the content. I believe it is unfair that these creators will no longer be allowed to share their work, even if they censor it, in webtoons. It saddens me to see this new policy affecting some of my favorite creators. I love webtoon and I want to be able to use this site, but with how restricting it is becoming I am afraid that many of my favorite creators in discover will be moving on to different sites that have a lower quality viewing experience or won’t allow you to read without paying. I love webtoons because it is free and open to everyone. I hope the policy can change or a new solution can be met. For the sake of many creators and fans being affected by this, I hope this issue will be addressed and dealt with differently.

WEBTOON is definitely the app I would go to for comics that I love reading (on a daily basis). The WEBTOON authors are absolutely amazing and so is the app itself. At first there doesn’t seem to be a problem with anything really. But the new policy for mature content is probably the main reason why I’m only giving this a 3-star rating. I feel as if it doesn’t seem fair for WEBTOON authors who love posting their comics on here feel less appreciated when their comics are taken down because of only a bit of NSFW content. Not only does it not seem fair it’s also not letting the readers enjoy the authors comics and stories. The readers won’t be able to look forward to the authors updates or comics because they were taken done for containing a bit of mature content. While, yes, it may be inappropriate for younger readers who have downloaded this app and wants to read/enjoy comics online. Doesn’t mean webtoons has to take down the whole comic because authors make sure either at the beginning (or towards the certain part of when the mature content is gonna start) of the update that there would contain mature content and to that extent the younger readers can skip the certain part and wouldn’t have to worry about looking at something not fit for their age. Besides all this I’m trying to clear the fact that the new policy is not right for the authors and readers who want to enjoy the content the authors post.

Im going to be clear and give my honest opinion about the app WEBTOON. Starting off by saying how much I love this app and all the different types of stories that are drawn out and written by some amazing authors. My experience has been stupendous. Everything was going great until this New Policy of taking down any NSFW content off of WEBTOON. It has made many authors take down their work which obviously took many hours and days to complete, and it honestly ruins the reading experience. Ever since people started reporting some stories that have NSFW content in them, this new policy appeared. I honestly want to say that the people who reported and obviously found the chapter or the images inappropriate, should have just exited out of the page. I mean it obviously says that the story will have mature content and if you want to keep reading or not, so why continue if you have been warned? There are many other types of genres that you can read so why not go and do that instead of reporting a story for your own selfishness just because it has mature content (which tells you beforehand). People who just report out of nowhere without caring or thinking about what might happen to the story are disgraceful. In conclusion, I think this app is amazing and I, and many other people would really appreciate it if you would please remove the policy. Thank You.
